Overview
Join the Appen team as an Independent Contractor for Project Uolo-P. Our project focuses on detecting lies on Social Media and involves engaging individuals to find and research fake information online, particularly concerning recent events that may mislead the public.
Main Duties
Fact-Checking: Compare social media posts with reliable information to verify their truthfulness.
Trend Monitoring: Use trending maps to guide searches and identify popular topics.
Identify Recurrent Misinformation: Track individuals or entities that frequently share false information.
Diverse Research Methods: Explore various sources and approaches to detect untruths.
What We're Looking For
For a post to be worth checking, it must meet the following criteria:
Come from Facebook or Instagram and be recent (within the last 7 or 14 days).
Address serious misinformation, not trivial mistakes or opinions.
Not merely a joke or a dispute between businesses.
Requirements
Must currently reside in Turkey.
Fluent in Turkish and proficient in English.
Ability to provide a valid Facebook profile.
Educational degree required.
