Main Duties
Fact-Checking: Compare statements in social media posts with reliable information.
Monitoring Trends: Utilize trending maps to guide searches for misleading posts.
Identifying Repeat Offenders: Track individuals or entities that frequently share misinformation.
Diverse Research: Explore various sources and methods to uncover false claims.
Criteria for Posts to Check
Must originate from Facebook or Instagram and be published within the last 7 or 14 days.
Should concern significant misinformation that could mislead people.
Not to be simply opinions, jokes, or commercial disputes.
Requirements for Submission
Confirm the post lacks fabricated information or misleading visuals.
Ensure the post is recent, having at least 15 shares or comments (100 views for videos).
Avoid resubmitting the same content.
Provide a link to the post and a fact-checking source.
Summarize the content of the post and your verification process.
How to Find Misinformation
Utilize Google to identify trending topics.
Review news updates on Google.
Experiment with diverse search terms and popular discussions.
Monitor social media pages known for sharing false information, especially on topical issues.
Key Requirements
Current location in the State of Palestine.
Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English.
Valid Facebook profile must be provided.
Educational degree is required.
