Watch for Repeat Liars: Identify and monitor sources that frequently disseminate false information.
Try Different Ways: Explore other resources and methods to uncover misinformation.
Key Responsibilities
Verify that posts are from recent social media (within the last 7 or 14 days).
Ensure the content could significantly mislead viewers, rather than trivial inaccuracies.
Confirm that the post is not merely an opinion, joke, or commercial dispute.
Verification Process
Assess the presence of fabricated content or misleading visuals.
Ensure the material has garnered at least 15 shares or comments, or 100 views if it's a video.
Provide links to both the post and credible fact-checking sources.
Summarize the post and outline verification methods.
Searching for Misinformation
Use Google to discover trending topics.
Review news outlets for current events.
Conduct varied searches to find popular posts.
Monitor social media pages known for spreading falsehoods regarding trending issues.
Requirements
Must be currently located in Pakistan.
Fluent and proficient in English.
Ability to provide a valid social media profile.
Educational degree required.
