Remote AI Writing Evaluator (Tier 3)

Overview

Outlier helps the world’s most innovative companies improve their AI models by providing human feedback. We are looking for talented writers with fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models. This reading and writing-intensive freelance opportunity is remote and offers flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Reading English text to rank responses produced by an AI model

• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking

• Assessing the factuality and relevance of text generated by AI models

Requirements

• Experience as a professional writer or editor

• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at a selective institution

• Strong writing style, exceptional English-language skills, logic and reasoning skills, and attention to detail

• Ability to evaluate and provide clear feedback on text

Compensation

Pay rates for core project work by English writing experts in the US average USD $35 per hour. Rates may vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project need, and other factors. Incentive payments may be offered for certain projects.
