AI STEM Writing Coach (Tier 2)

Overview

Outlier helps the world’s most innovative companies improve their AI models by providing human feedback. We are looking for talented writers with a STEM background and fluency in English to help train generative artificial intelligence models.

Responsibilities

• Reading English text to rank responses produced by AI models

• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking

• Assessing the factuality and relevance of text from AI models

Requirements

• Professional experience in writing or editing

• Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM discipline

• Exceptional English-language skills in spelling, grammar, logic, and reasoning

• Attention to detail and the ability to evaluate text effectively

Compensation

Pay rates for core project work average USD $25 per hour for English writing experts in the US; rates vary based on expertise, skills, location, and project needs. Incentive payments may be available for certain projects.
