AI Content Editor (Tier 1)

Overview

Outlier helps the world’s most innovative companies improve their AI models by providing human feedback. This is a freelance opportunity for experienced English writers to lend their expertise to train AI models.

Responsibilities

You may contribute your expertise by:

• Reading English text to rank a series of responses produced by an AI model

• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, which may involve research and fact-checking

• Assessing the factuality and relevance of text produced by AI models

Requirements

Examples of desirable expertise:

• Experience as a professional writer or editor

• Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline at an accredited institution

• A strong sense of writing style paired with exceptional English-language spelling and grammar, as well as logic and reasoning skills

• Attention to detail and the ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of a given piece of text

Compensation

Current pay rates:

• US: Average USD $15 per hour

• UK: Estimated up to £11/hr

• Canada: Estimated up to $20 CAD/hr

Note: Rates may vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project need, and other factors. Incentive payments may be offered for certain projects.
